We’ve been making this slice for years and it’s always a hit. It’s a great simple spin on the classic caramel slice and is bound to be a crowd pleaser.
Just a few notes on the marshmallow topping, I tested it several times using the butterfly attachment and still had problems getting it to the texture the stand mixer gets, maybe user error. While it does work in the cook processor we all found the texture to be nicer when whipped in a stand mixer and I the stand mixer was a bit faster. We also have a bit of the marshmallow topping left over which is great piped onto baking paper and sprinkled with toasted coconut.
