Cream Cheese Pizza Balls

I’ve always been curious about crescent rolls that can be bought in the US. Sadly my knowledge of them comes only from Gilmore Girls so I have no idea if this dough recipe comes close to resembling them. It was a homemade crescent dough recipe I used from yanks down under, and we were pleasantly surprised with how good they were. The eggs and extra butter add a beautiful richness and tenderness that I haven’t come across in other doughs. Of course I wanted to stuff them with something and since Ive banned fried bacon in the house when I’m home, because the smell drives me crazy (ask my husband how excited he is about me going on holidays for a few days) I wanted to include some of his favourite meats and flavours in them.

They also make a beautiful Christmas appetizer, you can arrange the balls in a wreath or Christmas tree shape to really get in the Christmas spirit.

You can also change up the bacon and chorizo flavour to anything that takes your fancy. I’ve been imaging a roast capsicum and sun-dried tomato for a vegetarian option.
